Journalists in Brazil are facing huge challenges to cover the pandemic while the government is engaged in a massive disinformation campaign. Government tried to change the way cases and deaths are counted, so that the statistics wouldn't be so dire - which led the main media outlets to form a consortium and get the information from primary sources. The stories presented are reporting from ICUs where lack of oxygen supply and lack of beds led to many deaths, writing about diplomatic cables that show how the government spent billions buying ineffective drugs, like hydroxychloroquine, while neglecting vaccines; and all that while being under constant attack from the government.
